Do I need an OpenAI account?
Not to get started. The whole studio works out of the box, and so do ARIA's everyday commands, typed or spoken in English.
Your own OpenAI API key unlocks her brain: the automatic mix and the static mix, diagnosing problems in your setup, answers to any question, and understanding you in your own words. It's pay-as-you-go, billed by OpenAI, and a voice command costs a fraction of a cent. Will it run on my computer?
If it runs Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), yes. Session Bud was tested end to end, from recording to a finished, exported mix, on a 12-year-old laptop with a 15-year-old USB audio interface.
Any audio device works. An interface with ASIO® drivers gives you the shortest delay while recording. There's no macOS or Linux version today.
